GE Washer dropped an item between drum and wall

Please bear with me, I know nothing about washer repair. I have a GE top loading washer (the kind without the agitator).** I dropped a washcloth inside the machine between the drum and the wall of the washing machine. It seems as though I will need to somehow take the machine apart to retrieve this washcloth. Can anyone tell me if this is something a beginner like me should be doing?** Or is there another way to get it out?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Just take the front panel off. Use a putty knife and insert it into the top groove of the front panel in line with the lid opening on each side to release the clips. Push hard to release those clips. Tilt panel out and lift up from cabinet.

See this video. It shows you the front panel removal at time 2:16

Thank you very much!
