GE vs. Whirlpool, which is built better/easier to service?

Modern day GE vs. Whirlpool/Kenmore top loaders. They are 2 completely different designs. The GE is belt driven without a transmission and a reversing motor. The Whirlpool is direct drive with a transmission:

Which brand is built better?

Which brand is easier to service?

Thanks,

George

Whirlpool is by far the easy to service. The tech sheets on GE are bad Plus some of their wiring diagrams show the wrong color of wires.

What is your experience with the 2 different drive systems?

Thanks,

George

GE does spin very fast. But when they put a inverter control board on top of the motor. Just to much shaking for the board. They are just not fun to work on. Good machine yes.

Any other comments on Whirlpool direct drive/transmission vs. GE belt drive/inverter?

Thanks,

George
