GE Triton XL water inlet valve trips breaker

Dishwasher quit working and trips the breaker every time we try to run it. I found the service mode for the panel and can test all the components. They all seem to cycle fine in test mode except that the water inlet valve trips the breaker when I turn it on.

I replaced the water inlet valve thinking that was the problem and that didn’t solve the problem. Performance is still the same. Trips breaker every time i test the water inlet valve. All the other components seem to cycle fine and I can get power to stay on if don’t test the water inlet.

I have checked all the grounds and nothing is wrong that I can see. I even rewired the plug.

The only other thing I can think to replace is the Electronic Control,
Part Number: AP3203951.

Any other ideas out there? Do you think replacing the electronic control is a smart move?

Yes it sounds like the board is shot.

To be extra safe you could check the wiring to the valve.
Remove power from the unit and both wires to your new valve.
Measure across the valve so you know it’s resistance.
Reconnect the valve.
Now disconnect the plug at the control board and measure across the wires going to the valve.
You should get the valve resistance.
Also check from each wire to the unit’s frame, both should be infinite ohms.

You now know that there is not a short in the valve wiring.
