I have ordered two thermostats from Appliance Parts Pros. Both thermostats are doing the same thing as the original one. The thermostats will not shut off freezes everthing. Sometimes it will shut off but most of the time you have to tap on it and it will then cut off, sometimes it will not cut off at all. I am thinking another bad thermostat but three doing the same thing, what are the odds? Gaskets are sealing good also.
ANY IDEAS, PLEASE HELP.
Part # of tstat I replaced is AP3156222, does it have any adjustment internally? I can see a screw inside from the front and it has an arrow scribed next to the hole going to the screw. No paper work came with the thermostat either time I ordered.
Make sure you installed the new control sensing wire exactly where the old one was. If you still have trouble, measure the freezer temperature and post.
So I just had to tap the thermostat to make it shut off. Yes, the
new control sensing wire is exactly where the old one was. They’re is a slot for it to clip into. The temperature in the refrigerator was 24 I moved the thermometer into the freezer and it has been in there for 30 minutes and is reading -5.

Make sure there is no air restriction between the fridg and freezer. Also, verify you have the exact factory service part, and not a substitute.
part is a GE part and have good air flow into fridge and across the sensor wire freezer is at -12 now
Try spraying the control with a non-residue contact cleaner, just move the control off and on while spraying.
nothing seems open enough to spray inside to actually get to the contact
DOES NOT matter, this spray will penetrate the smallest crack!
