GE Profile pump electrical connections

Title says most. I replaced the pump motor this morning but failed to note the correct orientation of the wiring connector. The connector will go on either way so I don’t want to risk the new motor.

I was able to find a picture of the solenoid and know that I have it correct. The connector to the pump has two spades, one has two red and white leads coming out. Does that go to the left or right as I’m looking at it on my belly in front of the machine.

Thanks for helping on this rookie mistake. I’m used to working on computers and most things will only go on one way.

A Model Number might help someone help you.

My guess would be that it makes no difference.
Same as the solenoid, makes no difference

GE Profile dishwasher, model number GSD4330Z04WW

As these leads power a motor I’m betting polarity matters.

Tried to find it for you, came up empty!!!
GE is a pain to find any info on.

No polarity does not matter with an standard AC motor.
The winding is insulated from ground (motor’s case)

Look at the number of household devices that use a motor but do not have a grounded plug re: hair dryer, can opener etc.

Thanks, I guess I’ll cross my fingers and give it a test run. If anything wierd happens I’ll report back.

Thanks again,
