GE Profile Key Panel Freeze with F0

I am getting two faults with my GE profile double wall oven PT956SM1SS.
Fault No. 1: after a few minutes of turning power on, the display shows F0 error code on both ovens. None of the touch keys works as the error is there. But the clock keeps working fine. To reset the error, I switch the power off and wait for less than a minute and turn it on, the display back to normal. Some one told me this needs to replace the key panel (Panel CTRL Tape P/N: WB36T11145)? What do you think?
Fault No.2 I tried to run the bake and the broil before the F0 error code appears, I could set the temp. and select the cooking time and start… the oven works fine both element broil and bake get heated… the convection fan works normally …. After a few minutes (around the same time it shows F0) the oven stops (both ovens) control panel touch keys freeze … everything is dead…. Again I switch off the power… turn on the power… every thing is back to normal…
Do you think it is the key panel only? Or also the control panel board? ( Control ERC DDHE P/N: WB27T10905) Replacing both is very expensive each one costs around $300…. Any help?

Getting any tech info on a GE is a pain as they like to keep everything a secret.

I would lean towards the control board.
One way to narrow it down would be to unplug the unit and disconnect the keypad from the control board. making sure that nothing can short out.
Then plug it in and see if the same error comes up.
If it does then I would replace the control board, still a bit of a crap shoot but your odds are better.

If you do this then you may want to consider ordering from ApplancePartsPros as they will let you return the part if it does not fix your problem as long as you have does some troubleshooting. Please see their return policy.

Please do not order both items and then just return the one you do not need. Their policy of returns on electronic parts is very generous and I would hate to see it abused.

Thanks Denman for your reply; I could not apply what you said as the control Board (P/N: WB27T10905) is directly connected with the KeyPad panel (P/N: WB36T11145) by a wide Ribbon Connector (P/N: WB18T10371).By disconnecting the Wire no input/output can be viewed on the panel.
I’ll try to order one part of the two, and see if the errors cleared or not.
I am sure the F0 error code will be cleared if I replace the keyPad panel as a GE technician said. But the other fault where every thing stops; heat elements stop, keyPad freeze, and oven cools down… is it possible also the keyPad panel?? or the control board!! I have no other choice than trying one at a time… Thanks again

Sorry for steering you in the wrong direction.

There was no actual picture of the parts so when I looked at the parts breakdown it looked like the display was part of the control board and the panel just had a window so you could see it.

I would replace the control board first but that is just a guess on my part and may well be wrong.
