GE profile fridge fan not working

So I picked up a French door bottom freezer GE Profile from a friend for $200. Said it’s roughly 3 years old. I was told the fan quit on it. In order to get the fridge out of my friends house we had to take all the doors off the fridge. It’s now still in my garage disassembled. I plugged it in for a couple mins and the fan did not come on. I removed the fan and applied 12 volts directly to the connector of the fan and it spun as it should. What could prevent the fan from coming on if the fan motor is still good?

For the motor to run properly and at variable speeds, it normally gets a dc level and square wave from the motherboard AP4485249
Applying just a dc level to the motor may not reliably turn the motor fan blade in the right direction, best to replace the evaporator fan motor and above motherboard to get the proper motor drive.
