Ok, so I was moving dishwashers around, and apparently the GE Profile dishwasher I have hangs all of it’s electrical bits out of the bottom, so when someone (say.. me) was moving it around, the chance of someone (oddly enough, again, me) knocking into the blue plug that brings power to the pump motor, thus busting the little metal tab plug thingy off is apparently high.
So, I can’t see any way easily to replace the pump plug thing. It’s snapped off of the motor, and GE’s website doesn’t even list the plug as a separate part.
So, a few questions:
Can I replace the plug somehow independant of replacing the motor?
If I do have to replace the motor, is it relatively straightfoward for a non-GE certified repairman?
and 3) is the motor available for less $$$ than the $200 it’s on geapplianceparts.com?

Unfortunately GE does not sell it separate. You have to buy the whole pump & motor assembly.
If you know how to handle a simple tools, this part is not too difficult to replace yourself. The dishwasher has to be removed from the cabinet to access the part.
You can order the pump & motor assembly from Appliance Parts Pros for about $130.
Gene, thanks for the quick reply. I figured as much on everything you stated, so I’ll order the replacement, and install it.
One question, for my model, there are 2 pump assemblies listed. Is there a way to know which one discreetly is for mine (i.e. AP3994767 vs. AP3875428)?
According to GE the correct motor is determined by the number on the original. For example if the number on the original motor is 165D8182G001 the correct part will be AP3875428. If the number on the original motor is 165D8182G004 you will use AP3994767.
Ok, so I looked on the pump motor on the bottom where the plug is broken, and on the blue tag the only number that looks like what you gave me is 165D8404P001. Is this analogous to the 165D818G001?
Update: I did find a white tag next to the housing that the water line plugs into with a part # of 165D7818G001. I’m thinking that all signs point to the 001 motor as my target.
