Ge Profile Bottom freezer - temperature reading for the fidge off 30 degrees

My Parents just gave me a Ge Profile PDS22MCRACC bottom freezer that doesn’t display the correct temp in the fridge section. If I have the unit unplugged for a day, when it starts it will say the fridge is 48 and the freezer is 78. Because the fridge always says it colder than it is, causing the damper never open to cool the fridge. I replace the thermistor in the the top of the fridge, don’t think I need to replace the others, cause the freezer works great and I don’t see ice built up on the evaporator coils.

Also to note the unit has new main board in it.

What can I replace that will correct the fridge temperature reading?

I’m out of ideas and about to give up, please help?

Measure the freezer temperature and post.

Okay, so I saw some posts about people saying you have to cut the 2 wire on the j1 plug. I did that and suddenly the fridge started working perfectly for the last month or 2. Now it’s back to fluctuating from 32 to 50, and don’t know what I should be looking at now?
