Main Symptom:Control Panel Failing
What happens & when: Control panel goes blank or presents garbage characters. Once breaker is reset, controls come back but display is dim. Microwave still works, but display continues to go out and now is locked in “Mute”. “Options” are no longer working.

Error Code (if any): None noted, blank display
Parts or tests already tried: None yet, but looking at Digitron and/or Display Control Board.

It could be that digitron AP3883432 or display control board AP3883396, but it also might be the transformer AP3883205. The thing with this design is that there isn’t really a way to test for this issue without just replacing parts one at a time. This is a somewhat common thing on these.
