Ge monogram oven temp control not fully functional

Main Symptom:oven control only works under 375 or over 550
What happens & when:oven works from 100-375 then goes blank until raised to 550. broil does not work but proof and self clean do work. same problem in convection or bake. Encoder assembly or dislay module or other?

This could be caused by the encoder having a short that acts up within the inoperable temperature range, or this could be a main logic board failure. If you access the encoder and the logic board after turning the power supply off or unplugging the power cord, do either of these parts look like they may have burn marks or indications of overheating?

I have not pulled the control panel yet. That was about the only hope I had, to maybe see some burn mark on the circuit board. Then I would know. If no evidence then I guess that’s the first part I’ll replace anyway since I think that’s more logical and it’s the cheaper of the two. Thanks would appreciate any more input.
