GE Monogram Dishwasher-Rubbery particles clogging spray arms

We have a Monogram dishwasher that has not been cleaning very well (mainly on top rack)

After inspection I realized that the jet nozzles on teh middle spray assy were clogged (mainly the ones that make the Middle Arm spray assy rotate). I’ve been keeping the holes cleaned them and this seems to help.

What I have been finding is food (of course) but also some flat rubbery material that must be coming from the washer. We continue to see these pieces.

Something must be deteriorating in the unit. I"m planning-on ordering new spray arms but also would like to attack the source of this rubber like material.

Thanks

What color are the rubber particles?

If they are white/cream then I would check the sump.
If it has a crumbly layer on the inside then I would replace it.
Also check that the rubber tube that is part of it is OK.

If it is deteriorating then I would replace it and the pump connector that is made of the same material.

Easiest to pull the unit in order to do this.

It’s a white rubbery material. The chunks are large enough to clog the stray arms

Check the sump it would be at the top of my possible culprits.

Do it soon.
First there are chunks then there are leaks.
