GE Midrowave bright light problem

Hi

My mirowave bright light comes on and off, but if I switch to night light that works fine? The bright seems to be overheating because if I shut it off and turn on later it works for about 4-5 minutes. Is this switch replaceable? I hear it click on and off as I cycle through bright, night and off. It was actually completely not working, but I gave it a wack right at the clock and it started to work again.

Do I need to replace the board part AP3192717? Seems rather expsensive, can I repair it some how? I would rather have the bright work over the night?

Any ideas, is it easy to get into the control board area?

Yes, it is the bright light that is not working. Now it is not working at all. The dim works just fine and all the other functions like the fan and the internal light work fine.
