GE JB625RK4SS Electric Range control panel question

Brand: GE
Model Number: JB625RK4SS
Main Symptom: no display
What happens & when: display intermittent working but now burners don’t work.

Control Panel must be bad. I ordered replace part from Appliance Parts Pros (part number WB27X45466) received part which is supposedly universal when programmed with correct personality code which I am told is 164. I installed the control board which came with a white jumper installed. No indication on the sheet of paper if the jumper should be left on or removed. My original board did not have this jumper and on the forum one person was instructed to remove the jumper if your original board did not have one. I removed the jumper. Now when I plug in the power I get nothing at all on display. I would just put the jumper back on but I don’t know if that will harm the new board.

That jumper should not be necessary. Do you get any reaction from the unit when pressing any buttons?

If you plug the oven in and press and hold START and UP or + for 2-5 seconds does it show anything?

No. I held the start and + simultaneously for a full 5 seconds and get nothing. I know I have power at the receptacle.

Check the Black and Red wires connected to the relays to the double white wire for voltage just to make sure there isn’t a harness issue not allowing voltage to the board. If each of those reads 120v to the double white then it looks like you received a bad board out of the box and you’ll need to give us a call at 1-877-477-7278.

Ok will do tomorrow and get back to on the voltage

The red wire does have voltage but the black wire that is connected to the relay with the purple wire does not have voltage. That black wire runs to the right rear burner control.

According to the wiring diagram that black wire is the L1 leg into the control board. If it doesn’t have power then the control isn’t going to turn on.

What would be preventing L1 from having voltage?

Looks like it runs from the right front element controller to the control panel so it could be that the right front element controller is bad?
