GE Ice Maker Stopped Working

So a couple weeks back my ice maker stopped working all together and I am finally getting around to diagnosing the issue. I have tried turning it off and moving the lever 3 times quickly after turning the ice maker switch back to the on position but that hasn’t resolved the issue and the sting on the lever shutoff seems fine. The water comes out of the dispenser on the front of the refrigerator just fine and if I fill the ice tray with purchased bagged ice it dispences fine. So I have a couple questions.

After turning the ice maker back on I don’t here any noise like its trying to pump water or any motor sounds, should I?

If I shouldn’t here any sounds is the most likely problem the water valve?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks Joe

Turning it off and on will not cycle your icemaker. I can never get that off on close the arm 3 times to work either. If there is ice still in the Icemaker tray just not releasing it it could be a bad icemaker. If no ice is present make sure your fill tube is not frozen over. Let me know what you find
