GE Ice Maker SLOW Dispensing

Brand: GE
Model Number: WR30X32633
Main Symptom: Dispenses ice very slowly
What happens & when: The original ice bucket dispensed ice relatively slow. The new one dispenses ice at a glacial pace (pun intended). It often takes 60+ seconds to get enough cubed ice to fill a glass and the unit is often making noise/churning for 3-10 seconds with no ice dispensed, despite the bucket being 40-90% full of ice. If the ice bucket is on the slower side, it seems to help if I run my hand through the ice to agitate it, but even then it dispenses slow. It’s almost as if the ice is not getting pushed into the opening. Any ideas what I can do or how I can modify the ice bucket to get it to function properly?

Shake the bucket occasionally to agitate the Ice (break the ice up and keep it loose). The loose ice should dispense quicker.

I have used my hands to agitate it, but it still dispenses pretty slow. Are there any other modifications I can make to the unit itself?

Not to my knowledge, it just the manufacturers design.
