bought heater #wr49x10173, but find it wont work on my fridge. is there a factory heater inside the door near water outlet? 2 screw tips visible under water outlet where heater would go. what can i do now? appreciate any help. thanks, wrasmer
There are no any kind of water dispenser heaters designed for this refrigerator. Per the GE service bulletin (attached to the reply) the only solution to fix the water line freezing inside the door is to replace the whole freezer door.
You can try to defrost it by keeping the door open for some time. Also it is possible that the temperature in the freezer is set too low.
