I am looking for some help here - out fridge is not blowing any air out of the top fridge section. I took a look at the coil under the back panel and it had froze over and had some ice build up. I unplugged the fridge, cleared the ice and pluggeg it back in - now to see if it is fixed but does anyone have any other things I can look at to resolve the following…
" Top fridge section is not cooling - do not feel any air coming from vents"
Very likely there is some thing wrong with the defrost system in your refrigerator. The model number you posted does not come up. Verify and repost it please.

Hey there Gene,
it is a GE Profile Bottom Mount no frost fridge - I double checked and the Model # is TCX18PAABLBS Serial # is MV315540V
I tried everything and it does not come up. Is this refrigerator made to use in US?

Hey there Gene,
Up in Canada - turned out to be the thermostat…the coils were covered with ice - repair guy didn’t have one on him so I am picking one up this week and I will install it…we used a blow dryer to melt the ice and it stated cooling again so I have about a month or so to fix it…
Same problem as Jim. Located in canada too and having a GE TCX 18 model. Want to change thermostat as per Jim’s suggestion. How do I disassemble floor of refer to access thermostat / evaporator coils (please see the attached jpeg file)? Do I have to remove doors? I see 4 screws but can’t seem to remove the evaporator coils cover.
Finely I found the Service manual for these refrigerators. I attached it to the post. Hope it will help.

Hi Gene,
Would you know what the part number is for the thermostat for the GE Model # TCX18 ? The one presently in the fridge has these numbers on it: L55-30F which I assume is the high open @55F and the low close @ 30F it also has T.O.D 37T31 marked on it as well.
I downloaded the Service Manual you were kind enough to post above but the resolution is really bad on the page where the part number is listed.
Appreciate any help you can offer, thanks.
JR
UPDATE: Would the part no WR50X133 do the job, just found this as a replacement.
I have the same problem with the same fridge. I defrosted the coils and started it back up. Cold air was blowing out of the fridge vent but after it hit 12 degrees it stopped/. I checked the coils and they were fine. Is this a thermostats issue as well??
