When I turn the start switch it hums but doesn’t start, door switch ok, getting power, please help:(

Often the humming is the motor trying to start.
Try turning the drum by hand. Should turn fairly easily.
This may take 2 people
Open the door
Manually hold the door switch closed
Push the start button and manually rotate the drum in the correct direction.
Watch your knuckles in case it starts up.
If it does start up, odds are high that you need a new motor.
At approximately $140.00 it may not be worth fixing especially if you open it up and find you need a number of other parts re: belt, rear bearing, seals etc.

I opened the door & held the door switch down while turning the start knob & it made the same humming sound… and the drum moves freely when I turn it by hand. When I pushed in a little on the start knob while turning the dryer started up tumbling and it heats fine. Owned the dryer about 4-5 years but I’ve never had to push in on the switch before.

Could be the switch is having some effect re: dropping some voltage but I still think it is the motor that is at fault.
At least you now know that the belt is OK and the hum is the motor trying to start.
I would unplug the unit.
Short the two wires going to the start switch together, tape them up so they cannot short to the frame.
Then with the door open, plug the unit in.
Shut the door
It should either start rotating or just hum.
If it rotates then all you need is a new switch.
If it just hums you need a new motor.
NOTE: Do not run it too long with the switch shorted out as this may cause some damage. Cannot be sure of this as I do not have a wiring diagram but better safe than sorry.
