So I was trying to replace the blue steamer button where steam comes out. The plastic broke.

So I pulled the top and back of the dryer off to expose the back side so I could reattach the steam hose and lock the white clip onto the blue plastic housing.

I had to disconnect the wires going to the steamer unit and the wires going to the cat 5 plug (upper left and upper right of the dryer) to get the back off enough. Unfortunately, I forgot to unplug the dryer from the wall when I did that. I plugged the harnesses back in and that when I noticed the front panel wasn’t working.

Everything was working while installing the blue plastic steamer. I didn’t notice the dryer wasn’t working any longer until after I had attached both harnesses again and closed up the top and back of the dryer.

Is there a way to check if a harness that powers the board is getting power? Say like J1 maybe?

You can check that that thermostat on J1 pin 1 and J1 pin 2 and you should get 120 volts! If not bad thermostat. Make sure you like I said in my post above you have the correct voltage to dryer!

Would a bad thermostat result in no power to the main panel tho? I’ve got nothing on the panel. I’m showing 125 volts to the back of the dryer and 250 volts across both.

Thanks

Looks like I posted the wrong part of the screen shot of a gas dryer.Yours is Electric. Here is the complete tech sheet showing both and the electric has more thermostat involved.
