Ge dishwasher seal replacement

Hi, I’m trying to install a new door seal on my model gsd3900loow dishwasher, I’m wondering if I need to take the inside cover off, there is like a 4 inch space in the middle where the gasket insert should be, but it doesn’t appear to have the provision opening for one?
