GE Condensing dryer

Brand:GE
**Model Number:**GT14ESSM1WW
Main Symptom:heats and tumbles, clothes stay damp
What happens & when:

I have a 5 year old GE GT14ESSM1WW condenser dryer. It gets hot but clothes stay damp. I think I have a condenser path issue. We clean the dryer regularly so all the typical places that get lint are very clean. I have confirmed the sump/pump that carries water up to the holding tank is operating correctly. The fan that pulls air in to cool the condenser is spinning. I feel moderate airflow pulling in that vent when operating (grill on lower right of front of dryer). The condenser cooling air exits into the main body of the dryer and out the back through many holes, so it doesn’t seem to be blocked there. I have tried to clean the condenser “east/west” path through the fins. I can see some light through the fins if I put a flashlight on the other side. Could there be another issue in this path? Thoughts on next steps? Thank you

Is the model number GFT14ESSM1WW? If it is, it sounds like there is an air flow issue if the clothes are getting hot but staying damp. The condenser would need to be checked from front to back to ensure there is a clear pathway for air to flow from the drum to the rear blower wheel. If it is clear, the next step would be removing the back access panel of the dryer to inspect the rear blower wheel. Is the blower wheel clogged up with lint or damaged at all?

Hello, thank you for the response. You are correct, I had ‘typoed’ the model number. The correct number is what you listed, GFT14ESSM1WW. Could you possibly identify the rear blower wheel in a parts diagram ? Just the part number in the diagram would be great! Thanks,

The rear blower wheel, as seen in the attached link, is number 58 in this diagram image. This image also shows the location of the blower wheel on the dryer. WE11X26363 Dryer Blower Wheel | Genuine Ge OEM In Stock
