GE Adora Fridge: Door alarm triggers even when door closed

We own a GE Adora Refrigerator which is only about a year and a half ago.

Today as I was in the kitchen, the ‘Door Alarm’ sounded off even though the door was closed and secure.

What are some reasons this would happen?
