The cooktop, broiler and warming drawer work OK but the oven stopped working. When any of the oven modes are selected, e.g. BAKE, the display shows PREHEAT then switches in just a few seconds to BAKE (it used to stay at PREHEAT until the oven temperature was reached). It then cycles back and forth showing PREHEAT and BAKE, but the oven gas doesn’t come on. I’m thinking it may be the oven sensor. The ignitor does not glow red like the broiler ignigtor. Can you help?
Thank you
What is the complete model number of the range?

The model number is HGS346UC/01
There are two parts which could cause such problem: the relay board (more likely) and the main control board (less likely). Unfortunately both parts are no longer available.
Gene.
How can that be? the oven is less than 5 years old. How can those parts not be available. could nt it just be the ignitor?
I understand your feelings. You have to ask Bosch why did they do it to you.
I don’t think there is something wrong with the igniter because of the information shown on the display, but you can check it for continuity and measure the voltage to the igniter while the control calls for Bake.

In case if I’m wrong and the problem is a bad igniter:

What should the resistance reading be across the igniter out of circuit? and what should the voltage read in circuit?
Thank you for such a quick response
In such situation the most important test is the voltage to the igniter. The normal reading should be about 120 VAC. Improper voltage reading proves a bad controls.

I also posted a bit of wrong information in my original post about the display. When I turn oven on and select bake then turn knob to 350 degrees. The display stays on preheat at 100 degrees it does not switch back and forth to bake. It just stays on preheat at 100 dergrees. Does this change the possible solution?
Yes, it definitely does. Check the voltage and the igniter resistance and post the results.
