no flame, exhaust blows fine, tumbles but no heat. From my dig ohmmeter Ive used the 200k setting to get readings as follows; 00.1 for the igniter,00.0 for the flame sensor, and can’t get a reading at all on the thermal fuse.In all cases I unpluged the wires! Please advise!!!
The thermal fuse being bad would stop it from heating. Jump out the wires and test it. Just don’t use the dryer with it jumped out if it works. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
now whn I start it I see the orange red flame for 5 seconds and it clicks off–will come back on after a few minutes and do the same thing, please advise
You sound like you have a clogged vent. Which is why your thermal fuse went out. Pull the dryer away from the wall, and take the vent hose off at the dryer, and run it and see how it goes. Also make sure you feel where the hose goes on the dryer, that the air is blowing out hard. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
that worked thanks a lot
