Gas dryer stops rotating after starting

What happens & when:Dryer stops rotating after about 10 seconds

Error Code (if any): E12 drum motor(!?)
Parts or tests already tried:Most ServiceMode Tests seemed to be normal, except the drum did not change direction during Outlet Thermistor test, and the Steam Test never completed (probably because the metal tension clamp connecting hose to the steam generator broke; new clamp coming today). No lint buildup in exhaust duct.The dryer run time has increasingly shortened over many months—I used to have to run a modest-size load through twice to dry.

Getting an E12 error code will indicate that there is a fault with the motor and would need to replace it. Here is a link for the part.

The manual link was very helpful; thank you. After the install of the motor, it seemed that the repair was successful. The dryer rotated at length with no stops, both directions. However, when a load of clothes was put into the dryer, the rotation stopped exactly like before. Please advise next possible course of action.
