G.E. Adora Front Load

.

Just wondering 3 things on the GE Adora front load washer WHDVH626FWW door lock.

  1. are the solenoids, (in red) line voltage (120 volt) or low voltage?
  2. are the micro switch contacts, (in green), opened in the unlock or locked position?
  3. what is the purpose of dual contacts (green), if it is, as it appears, a single throw switch?
(or maybe it isn’t a single throw switch ??? )

Oh, lets make that 4 things.

  1. on my machine the display reads “DOOR LOCK” continuously even though it is Unlocked, so I am assuming the contacts are not opening, (or closing depending on question #2) thus I need to break open the door lock assembly and clean and lube it. Any pointers in doing this, Small parts, spring loads that will fly out, etc. to be cautionish of?

Thanks in advance for any answers.

Brad.

Hmm,

I jumpered out pins 4 & 5 and 6 & 7

and still get a Door Lock on the display.

Also, I have cleaned the filter, pump runs fine and pumps out fine.

Wondering if I’m on the right track or maybe it is something else like the water level pressure switch?

Any thoughts ?

TIA

Brad

Check the small black Pin above door lock and see if it is stuck in that is what tells the door is closed and will not lock unless that button closes the contacts

What else can cause this condition? ( Foam Switch? Dispensor Position )..?
