Front Load Washer Tearing Clothes

I have a Kenmore HE3T washer that is about 4 years old.
The problem started recently, or maybe just got a lot worse recently. Some clothes are come out with a series of small holes. Some are coming out with small tears. A shirt just came out with a rip. There must be something sharp and some serious force involved to rip cotton/poly blend shirt.

I’ve searched the web and found many people with the same problem, a few theories, but no solutions.

Any help?

Does anyone at least have a guess?
It seems to happen more frequently when the load is small, if that’s a clue.

The space between the dryer tub and the housing can get too wide allowing clothes to slip in and out of the space. Most times, replacing the dryer support rollers if applicable, and the dryer glides will fix this problem.
On occasion, the felt seals may need to be replaced as well.
