Frigidare Issues

When we first purchased this oven, not long after we started getting an error code ‘F10’. At the time it was very random and was not effecting the oven in any way other than that it was annoying to get the code. Plus, a forum such as this was not as mainstream and our research efforts were slacking.

We have now been having problems with the temperature of the oven. The heat is not heating to the temp it says it is and may be going in an out of heat. Cakes are falling and meat takes forever and again the F10 code…what’s your opinion on what is going on with the oven?

My husband is an industrial electrician and may be able to fix himself with some direction. Your help would be greatly appreciated!

You have to join the site to download the manual but it is free and this is a very good site for manuals and other info for the appliance repair DIYer.

And finally a good site with general repair info, check out 7, 8, 20 and 21.

F10 looks like an over temperature error code so I would start with the temperature sensor.
Check it for the correct resistance, check that it’s connection to the control board is clean and secure, check that the solder connection on the board at the sensor connect plug are good.

If all OK then odds are that your control board is toast.

Thanks for the info! I will forward to my husband and let you know how it turns out!
