Frigidare Dryer has no heat and timer does not work

My dryer has two problems.

  1. The dryer runs but won’t heat.
  2. The timer does not work. It keeps running until I open the dryer door or unplug.

Can some one please me what could be the problem or how to troubleshooting it?

Try running the diagnostics.

You said the timer will not stop unless you unplug the unit so I am assuming that you removed power from the unit for about 5 minutes and the control board/timer did not reset (repair the problem).

Yes, I removed power from the unit for 30 minutes but it did not solve the problem.
I ran some diagnostic per manual instruction. The console displays error code ‘E9E’ which I couldn’t find it in the manual.

I couldn’t tell if the timer is working. I set it to 30 minutes and after 30 minutes it no longer displays time. I need to verify that again.
