I am at wits end trying to fix my mother’s Frigidaire washing machine. The washer will not drain. I have taken the washer apart and found nothing blocking the pump. I installed a new timer and it had no effect. I’ve taken off all the hoses to check for blockage and found nothing. Is there a drain valve of some sort that I am overlooking? I’ve taken the pump off and completely disassembled it and all seemed fine. The pump does work when connected. I can’t imagine what else it might be…even though I do suspect the pump. I need some help before I go crazy.

Remove the pump hose at the tub and check for something in the tub.
Thanks for the reply…I did remove the hose to the tub from the pump and found nothing. I removed both hoses and found nothing. I think the problem lies in the pump itself, even though it did engage when connected. I thought the impellers looked worn down, but am not sure since I haven’t seen a new one to compare it with. I know the switch lid is good, as it will engage the spinning cycle and locks. With a new timer, a good switch lid, and no blockage, it would leave only the pump as far as I can tell.
Stich 115 volts to the pump motor and see if the impeller turns, lots of times they come loose.
