frigidaire top freezer/ bottom fridge

Same old thing. Freezer works, fridge don’t. Seems like every once in a while fridge will get down to 45 degrees.

Here are your parts

Check that the control in the freezer is letting cold air into the fresh food section.

Check that the evaporator fan motor in the freezer is running correctly.
It should be on when ever the compressor is on.
It is required to push the cold air into the fresh food section.

Check the freezer temperature.
Should be 0 to 5 degrees F.

Check the evaporator coils.
If heavily iced/frosted over you have a defrost problem.
I sort of doubt this as it sounds like you have had the problem for a while and a defrost problem will not clear itself. Usually it shows up first in the fresh food section but eventually does cause the temperature in the freezer to rise.

Thank you Denman,
It turned out that I only had a loose wire in the wire harness to the fan. I would not have figured that out without the diagrams you sent me. I will let ALL of my friends know of this site and I will definately use the resources provided in your post for future reference and parts if needed. Once again, I thank you very much! My wife is also talking to me again, LOL.

You are welcome

And thanks for getting back to us. Now when others search for a similar problem they will see what actually worked instead of just suggestions about what could be the cause.
