Need some double check on a planned repair, please.
I have a dishwasher with failed repair by a service company. Symptom was the timer would not advance past 7 o’clock or 10 o’clock on high temp wash or rinse setting. Serviceman replaced the (1) timer and (2) thermostats to no positive effect, just $200+ bill. I got the tech manual, and saw the likely culprit was the high temp sensor.
I removed the sensor and determined a contact rivet was bad/loose and sensor was always ‘open’. I put the sensor back. When I pulled it today to get the part number, the wire connector (white) on one side was burned onto the contact. Before I replace the sensor I want to know:
is the wiring to the sensor direction specific (one white, one blue)?
is there something else here?
thanks
Dishwasher works on low temp cycle
Dishes never get dry
Running on High Temp Cycles leads to timer getting stuck
Gene,
Model number first few characters are rubbed out.
remaining numbers are B750RCC1.
Use and Care Manual are for Frigidaire dishwasher 200. 500. 700, 800 series, P/N 154466101 (0405) from 2003.

In order to find the correct wiring diagram we need the correct and complete model number. You can try to search for the wiring diagram inside the door, the control panel or the toe panel.
Gene,
thanks for your patience.
I cannot get the correct Model Number as its rubbed off the sticker, but the wiring diagram that came with the unit is P/N 154457601.
Frigidaire UltraQuiet III dishwasher, 700 series assumed from the model number ending 750RCC1. Under the frigidaire logo on the wiring diagram is a number 030108, but I don’t think that is really useful.
Red wires go to the hi limit thermostat. One blue connector, one White connector.
I found the Tech sheet with the wiring diagram but there is no any temperature sensors shown. Looks like the complete model number is [MODEL]FDB750RCC1[/MODEL].
thanks, Gene.
Appreciate the full model number for future reference.
Curious comment about the hi-limit sensor, or lack thereof. I bought a replacement, installed it (yes, there was one there). The dishwasher now works properly on all (heating) cycles again. Success!
Lesson to others-when your dishwasher works on cool cycles but not hot cycles and the timer won’t advance, try the $20 hi-limit sensor first!
hello all… i’m trying to get the heating element in my dishwasher to work. i spoke to a local shop and ordered the high temp thermostat but would like some info on how to install it. also, the white lead at the end of the wire is burnt- is it ok to re-use or does it need to be replaced? thanks carl
There are three parts in your dishwasher involved in the heating process. They are: high limit thermostat (#29 on the diagram, page 6), heating element and control board. You have to have an Ohmmeter to check the thermostat and heating element for continuity.
Remove the toe panel and try to pinpoint the noise.
i had narrowed it down to the thermostat. i was wondering if the burnt tip on the spade was okay to re-use. everything is hunky dory there. the question i now have is the drain pump. its loud- making this humming/churning/cranking noise. i hear it when i immediately start a cycle and periodically throughout the whole washing process. i put a new one in and its better but still louder than i expected. is this normal or do i need to further into the lines somewhere to look for the problem? thanks for all your help- ive learned more about dishwashers in the past few days than i ever though i would need to know!!!
You may want to check the drain hose for a floating foreign object inside. Otherwise I do not see what can cause an excessive noise, especially with the new pump.

I am having the same problem where the timer works when the dishwasher settings are on cold, but the timer sticks when the heat settings are on. Does anyone know what the part # is for the hi limit sensor and how to install it?
I have the same exact problem as what you described. I replaced the timer and was about to look into replacing the thermostat when I found your post. I was hoping that you might be able to give me the part number for the high temperature sensor. I’m not sure how to find it.
I have not had any luck finding the right part number. I spoke to a local parts distributor and they said there is two hi limit thermostats; each about $25. I have not yet bought them and tried to replace it. Sorry I couldn’t help, but if I find a solution I will let you know. Please do the same for me.
The high limit thermostat is located under the dishwasher on the left side and is shown as #29 on the diagram. You have to check it for continuity prior to order it because the problem can be a bad heating element too. It has to be checked for continuity as well.
