fan is running but there is no cold air being put out, I believe the compressor is not running can it be dead
The first thing to do is remove the panel on the bottom of the back of the unit. Place your hand on the big black thing (compressor). Is it vibrating? If not, I’d suspect the start device. Since this model number isn’t complete, I cannot give you the exact part number but can tell you the part description of the part in question. The complete model number will be on the I. D. tag on or close to the ceiling of the fresh food compartment. Unplug the refrigerator and remove the start device from the side of the compressor. Most of these are held in place by a spring clip which is easily removed with a pair of needle nose pliers. Wear gloves is possible as I have been injured many times by sharp objects in this area. Once the spring clip is removed, the start device comes off straight from the compressor, using a screwdriver between the start device and compressor slips it off. If it rattles when you shake it, it’s bad. Be careful with the wires as if you damage them the new part won’t work. Also, if the wires are individual, note where they are connected as they have to be connected exactly as they came off or it won’t work. If you need further assistance, please include the complete model number as the last character denotes exact replacement parts required for repair. Good luck! =]
