These were known to have an issue with the clutch, usually it would throw a 12 beep/flash, pause, 6 beep/flash error, but this sounds similar.
The testing procedures are as follows:
Step 1.) Remove power from the unit.
Step 2.) Remove the lower front panel of the washer.
Step 3.) Access the clutch, pt# AP7225294.
Step 4.) Remove the connectors from the clutch.
Step 5.) Setting your ohm scale to the highest resistance available,
confirm resistance between pins 1-3.
Step 6.) Resistance should be between 2800 - 3100 (2.8K - 3.1K) ohms.
NOTE: All pins should read OL to ground.
Step 7.) If the above resistance is not found, replace the clutch.
Step 8.) If the above resistance is found, access the main control board, pt# AP6261755.
Step 9.) Reference the Tech Data Sheet to find the clutch connector.
Step 10.) Remove the connector from the main control board to isolate
the clutch.
Step 11.) On the harness connector, ohm the clutch pins to confirm
the resistance.
Step 12.) If the resistance is not consistent through the harness to the main board, replace the harness, pt# AP5971684.
Step 13.) If the resistance is consistent, replace the main control board.
