Brand:Frigidaire Model Number: GRFS2853AF0 Main Symptom: The control panel just show OF FF when i click on the button. i was changing my water filter, because of the new water filter might have air trap in the new filter, when i try to dispense water, water bust. Since then the problem occur. the fridge not as cool in the past. i dun feel the compressor humming, this happen yesterday evening. today still feel little bit cool. I did pressing + and - at the same time. the display panel all light turn on it show -88 of fridge and -88 on freezer, only cube button have beep sound. but nothing is working when i press it, inside the refrigerator light turn off. and i pressing + and - button again and hold for couple sec. the display panel turn off and it only show 0F FF and no any button are working. What happens & when: This happen after replace the water filter in the fridge.
Error Code (if any): I do not see any error code show on the display panel.**
Parts or tests already tried:** NA. just by doing pressing and holding + and - button. **

Pressing the freezer + and - will activate the diagnostic mode. From what I am finding, it looks like this is in demo mode which should be able to be activated and deactivated by pressing and holding the freezer + and the fresh food - buttons at the same time for 10 seconds. If you do this, does the display stop showing off and switch to showing the temperatures?
Are the buttons being held for 10 seconds or are they being held for less? The only other option I can think of is pressing the temperature - button on the fresh food side, or the freezer side if that doesn’t work. The next step after that would likely be a dispenser control failure.
In some models, pressing the temperature down button would disengage the system off. It should not apply to this model, but is still worth trying just in case there is something glitching in the program.
It sounds like the dispenser control is locked up. This could have been caused by water damaged, if water got onto the electrical pins of the control when the water line burst.
Replacing the dispenser control would likely allow for good communication to the main control. If the compressor and fans are operating, it indicates the dispenser control is doing its own thing while the main control is attempting to do what it should. This can affect temperatures and other functions. From what occurred prior to the failure, and the fact that the dispenser control will not properly accept commands, it would point to the dispenser control being the most likely cause of failure.
In the website that I referenced with the link, there should be an add to cart button. If that is clicked, it should allow for a checkout process to be done by viewing the cart.
the fridge and the freezer is not cooling. The dispenser control will able to resolve the problem right. Yesterday still can feel the cool, but today is not.
The system can be cool for a bit after the display shows OFF, but it will eventually warm up to room temperature due to the compressor and fans not turning on. Since the dispenser module will not accept the input to turn the system back on, replacing the dispenser control is the most likely fix for this issue.
With the power supply cord unplugged, putty knife (preferably a thick plastic putty knife) would be used to remove the dispenser module by inserting it in the bottom seam to disengage multiple locking tabs while pulling slightly forward.
