Main Symptom: fridge not cooling
What happens & when: I can hear something that sounds like a motor running but our fridge isn’t cooling off. The top mount freezer is working fine.

Parts or tests already tried:unplugging for 12 hours

Remove the food from the freezer and remove the evaporator cover. Check that the motor above the coils is running, it should be. If the coils are badly impacted with ice, you have a defrost problem. If the coils look good and the motor is running in the evaporator, check the venting that goes through he floor of the freezer, see if it is blocked or iced over.
