Frigidaire
FFFU14F2QWR freezer
~ 8 yrs old. Frostfree 14 .
About 6 mo ago wife rearranged food and blocked the airflow inside, everything thawed. I rearranged, worked normally until a month ago when everything thawed again.
Have replaced defrost timer/temp sensor/capacitor/control module and thermostat control. Fan runs normally, no weird compressor clunks or bumps, no ice buildup, evap coils frost evenly over majority of their surface. The cooling coils are located high on the sides inside the case and are not accessible but since there were negligible dust bunnies by compressor can’t imagine why they would be very dirty.
I replaced parts in this order: thermostat control/defrost timer/temp sensor/capacitor and main board module which plugs into the compressor. After each new part I plugged it in overnite and each time it would cool down to 0-10° then fail to do another cooling cycle. I have a wireless temp monitor which shows high/low temps over last 24° period. Fan would run but no cooling.
If compressor were bad seems it wouldn’t cool down to 0°, if it were low on refrigerant seems evaporator would not frost over…
All parts purchased on Amazon, all part #'s matched originals but only the capacitor and the module into which it plugs claimed to be OEM. Every part looks exactly like the one it replaced.
Only thing I can come up with is the replacement thermostat control is defective. What say you?
