Frigidaire FEB386CSS-B in wall oven will not heat at all

Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FEB386CSS-B
Main Symptom: Not heating
What happens & when: when I set it to broil or bake, I can hear the click to start heating but neither element will get hot.

My daughter decided to be nice and clean the oven while we were out of town. When we returned, it would not heat up very much at all. feeling inside, the bake element was not getting hot. when I moved it, I heard sparking and the familiar sound of electrical shorting out. I ran to the garage and shut off the breaker. Came back in and unscrewed the inside cover and the lower element when I pulled it out the spade on the left side of the element was gone. Pulled the whole oven out, and opened the back of it up. Found the wires, and the one with the spade was welded to the sheet metal on the back of the stove. It obviously was shorting there. I ordered a new bake element from AppliancePartsPros and it came today. I hooked everything up, turned the breaker back on, and the display and light are working. But when I turn on bake or broil either one, I get the clicks where it’s trying to start, but nothing gets hot. I’m assuming there is probably a fuse blown or something. Please advise!

thanks

Possible it could be this Thermal Switch that could be just reset! Or you damage the control board.318004900 Thermal Switch | Genuine Frigidaire OEM In Stock

The L1 wire should run from the safety thermostat, located just behind the control panel on the right side, down to the heating elements. With the power turned off at the breaker, you can test that thermostat for continuity. If it doesn’t show continuity, it’s failed and is stopping the voltage from reaching the elements. Unfortunately, it appears the manufacturer has discontinued this part, so it’s no longer available for replacement. 318003606 Thermostat,Safety | Genuine Frigidaire OEM In Stock
