Frigidaire dual fuel range

The digital display has quit working. Nothing on it lights up and the buttons won’t do anything. Even the oven light will not come on but the ignition still works. I took out the circuit board and checked for voltage at L1 and L2 both are at 120v and the neutral circuit N checks good so I figured the board was bad. I replaced the circuit board and still have the same problem. Any ideas?

Did you check L1 to L2 for 240 volts.
Often if you are checking for L1 and L2 using Neutral you will see the 120 volts on both sides but this is just from one side and it is feeding back through components and so is confusing.
Only way to properly check is to look for the 240 volts OR unplug the stove and check it at the plug.

I measured at the circuit board 120volts on L1 and L2 to neutral. At the plug I measured the same.

Power looks OK.

I would try disconnecting the keypad to see if the control board will light up.
This is a long shot.

Only other thing I can think of is that you received a bad control board.

I tired unplugging the switch controls and same results: nothing lights up. What are the odds of 2 circuit boards doing the same thing? Is this a common failure with this model?

Odds are slim but it does happen.
It is all I can think of since everything else looks OK.

I did do a search on this site and on ApplianceJunk and could not find a problem the same as yours.

Thanks for the help. It turned out the new board was defective. Plugged new board in and everything lit up.

Glad to hear you have it up and running.

Defective replacement parts does not happen often but when it does it sure can be a pain and circuit boards are the worst as there is no way to check them before you install them.

Not looking to hijack this thread but I need some advice, I have the same model and have had it in storage for three years still in the box, well my kitchen remodel is finally done and I just gave away my full gas range and brought in the dual fuel range now I am ready to run my new three wire to the panel but I can not find the breaker size any where on the unit I see they ask for a 40 amp range cord, I will use a three wire with a ground but what size breaker should I go with, if all components are added up the formula shows about 19.444 amps, is this correct , do I really only need a 20 amp breaker, thanks for the help, Rob.

Should be a 40 amp breaker with number 8 wire.

Thank You for the response, I was leaning towards the forty amp breaker with an eight / three wire but I was still some what curious as to the specs on the unit and which sized breaker the manafacturer suggested.

Now I have to locate the forty amp range cord and receptacle, not readily available around here, only fifty amp receptacles are in stock every where. Thanks again.
