Hey, My frigidaire has been acting funny and it’s starting to annoy everyone in my house.
It will start but cuts off after about 20 seconds on any dryer setting. I ran the diagnostics and it beeps 6 times all LEDs and then 2 times on the START button. I cannot find this error code anywhere on any forum. If you are a genius, please help.
I opened up the back of the dryer and found a broken exhaust seal, which I replaced with a new seal from APP.

When it shuts off can you restart it right away or do you have to wait a while before it will restart?
If you have to wait then the most likely cause is that the motor is overheating and tripping it’s internal thermal protect. You then have to wait till the motor cools down and the protect thermostat resets.
Try turning the drum by hand, to check if it is overloading the motor. It should turn fairly easily.
If you also do not have heat, it could be that the centrifugal switches on the motor are not being activated. This would leave the start winding in circuit once the motor starts and this will overheat the motor.
Could be the motor switch contacts are welded together.
Might be that the motor is clogged solid with lint.
Could be the motor is on it’s last legs.
