My Frigidaire (PLD4050RHC1) dishwasher seems to be dripping water from the water inlet. This piece is molded/plastic welded onto the dishwasher tub and isn’t replaceable :mad: !
Has anyone had any experience with a defect of this type? I’m thinking that I will just have to do some corrective surgery on this piece myself since I’m not interested in replacing the entire dishwaher tub.
The problem can be as simple as an excessive pressure in the water line. Try to adjust it by slowly turning CW the water shut off valve for the dishwasher.

Thanks Gene for your reply, but I don’t think this is a water supply pressure problem. The unit still leaks even when the water inlet valve is closed (no flow condition) due to residual water in the supply tube. My inlet water valve must have a tiny leak and I’m replacing it too since I have things torn apart.
I will update this as I finish tests and make repairs.
I just had the same issue. Replaced the water line and still didn’t help. I then cleaned out the ‘water bottle’ plastic piece where the water line goes into (as shown in the first posts). It was full of calcification. I used a small wire brush and soaked the area with vinegar by blocking the exit into the washer. … This fixed the leak! The calcification was clearly impeding proper water flow into the washer.
My next step was to purchase a new one so I at least delayed that process for some time hopefully;)
Same thing here on a older Kenmore where it appears that initially the inlet port had a lot of calcium build up in it which pressurized it to the point it broke the bond between it and the tub. Since it appears to be PCV in nature I will try and use Oatley’s PVC pipe cement to see if that will work. If it works on 3" HD PVC Pipe I hope it will work on this and save having to buy a new dishwasher.
