Our dryer just started blinking the top lights (Normal, Hot, Maximum, and the numeric display) very rapidly. Disconnecting it for 10 minutes did not fix the issue. It will not reset when holding down the Select and Cancel buttons for over 10 seconds or go into service mode.

Of course this has to happen right before company is arriving. Where to start?

Model number posted is for the washer??? Maybe buy new looks like it has some age on it.Here is the tech sheet though: https://partselectcom-gtcdcddbene3cpes.z01.azurefd.net/assets/manuals/B1334F8549FD00EFCF35794405F5F6465AB1B176.pdf

The model number is at the top of my posting. ATF6000 FS1. Thanks for the error code info, but that is for a washing machine, this is a dryer. Unfortunately, right now the dryer does not respond to any of the keys.

That is what I am saying. The model number you posted is for a washer!!!

Thank you for your question. It looks like the model number ATF6000FS1 belongs to a washing machine, as seen in the link below. If you can provide the model number from your dryer, we’ll be glad to help track down what’s causing the failure. Frigidaire ATF6000FS1 Washer Parts | Diagrams & OEM Fast Ship

My apology. You are correct. There is no serial number tag on the back of the dryer. I pulled the mating washer manual by mistake. According to the invoice, this is a model AEQ6000FS dryer. More importantly, what does it mean when no controls respond and the left top 3 lights and numeric display flicker rapidly?

The full model number should be on the tag just behind the dryer door, and that’s important for nailing down the correct part number. That said, based on the symptoms, this is pointing to a control failure—it could be the smaller interface control or the main control.

One way to check is to unplug the power cord, disconnect the wire harness between the two boards, then plug the power cord back in. Does the display still flicker when you do that?
