Fridge too cold, runs a lot

Hello,
I have a Japanese-make fridge with the freezer on the bottom. 168 litre capacity. The fridge runs cold, but it also runs excessively, with like a 10 minute rest in between 30 minute runs. I’ve included pictures of the thermostat placement. I’d really like some advice on how to get the fridge to just turn off more quickly, possibly by different manual placement of the thermostat, or even if just blocking the fan to the fridge is an option. Or if it would be better to try getting a new thermostat, or anything, really.

I think the seals are good.

Here is a photo of the thermostat placement (I didn’t know how to edit the original post:confused: . It just sits within the cooling coils on the upper left. Thanks!
