Fridge setpoint at 46 but still freezes

SO I’m looking for troubleshooting advice. My refrigerators actual temperature is 30ish degrees even when I turn the set point to 46. I’ve check the service menu for operation but I can’t really figure out what’s going on. My thermistors read correctly (what I would expect). The damper door seems to always be open during normal operation but when I test it in service mode, it will open and close. The only odd behavior (to me) is that it doesn’t immediately close when I close it in service mode, it’s like a 10-20 second delay but the digital display shows that it’s in the process of closing. It does the same thing when trying to open it. What can I check to troubleshoot this problem?

(PS, I’m a repair technician for an electronics company, I just am unsure of how the refrigerator’s computer is set up to work)

I forgot to mention that during my testing last night, I did pull the power completely (from the wall) and waited about 15 minutes. When I turned the power back on, the fridge was at 72 and freezer at 9. I made sure that my set points were what I wanted (40 for fridge and -1 for freezer) and went to bed. This morning the freezer was dead on -1 and the fridge was down to 37. So I don’t think power cycling worked either.

Can any one comment on this? I’m reviving this thread because I’m still dealing with it. What I’ve learned in the last 3 months is that as long as I keep my new item rotation constant then it will regulate temperature (putting new items in every 2-3 days). But if the fridge gets close to empty or we are gone for the weekend, the fridge gets down to about 30 degrees.

Please help!
