Fridge freezing

First thing all coils below clean. I unplugged let sit for 30 minutes plugged back in. Compressor cycles like it should.Defrost cycle on freezer works i.e heater. The damper door inside fridge works when I turn fridge compartment to Zero I watch the damper door close. When I turn dial to bring fridge up to temp door opens.

for some crazy reason the damper door does not close when fridge reaches temp.

Yes gasket on door of fridge is fine no issues:( :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: :frowning:

You know that the damper works but you do not know if the refrigerator thermostat is opening/closing.

You could remove it and hold an ice cube onto the end of it’s capillary tube then with a meter check if the contacts open.
