seems that defrost cycle gets too warm and goes too long.
why does it even need a defrost cycle…can’t I make it stop?
Thanks, Paulie

Hi Paulie,
Be more specific and describe what is exactly wrong with your fridge, please.
In order to provide most accurate advise we need the complete model number of the refrigerator.
Gene.
It is a Kenmore
253.60721001
date on it is 06/2000
It gets very warm for periods of time and then later
it gets as cold as it should be. I was told it is the defrost
cycle that causes this. Since it is freezerless, why does it
need to defrost anything?
Thanks…Paulie
Paulie,
A “frost free” (freezerless) refrigerator means it’s defrosting automatically. In old times you had to defrost (unplug) it manually.
How long are periods of time when it gets very warm and how often it does it?
Gene.
