Lehardy08, are the evaporator coils freezing up across the entire evaporator or is it just creating an ice ball near where the copper tubes come from the liner?

Freezing up across entire evaporator

This could be caused by the evaporator thermistor, the defrost heater, thermal fuse in the harness, or even a control failure. With the power supply cord unplugged and the evaporator section accessed, the defrost heater, fuse, and evaporator sensor can be tested with a multimeter directly during the state of failure. The defrost heater should measure a resistance of 30-42 Ohms. The harness should be able to read continuity when testing from the brown wire going to the heater connection to the red wire at the main connection. When encased in ice, the evaporator thermistor should measure more than 7964 Ohms. If any of these parts fail testing, they would need to be replaced. However, if they do not fail testing, the main control would be the likely cause of failure. Here are links to each part for reference.
