When trying to dispense ice, it clogs up and when door is opened it falls to floor. Only a small amount of ice gets to the glass. Have tried defrosting unit, no go. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Have you checked the dispenser flapper door for proper opening, closing and sealing when it snaps closed ?
Chances are pretty good, that’s where the problem is..
After you do the checks, you may need a flapper repair kit,
