The freezer side is over freezing, I’ve turned down the thermostat control to under three. There is ice buidling up on the inside of the door!
Hi bilc
Looks like the model number you provided is incorrect. Please double check the model number and post it again.
The ice building up on the door could be because of bad sealing or problem with the ice dispenser if any.
Gene.
Your freezer control may be turned too high (this is the control next to the one that turns off the compressor.
I have the same refrigerator. It is a Admiral Signature series model HMG511080. I am having the same problem.
I have cleaned the compressor coils and everything else I could get to. I also started troubleshooting by defrosting my evaporator coils to see if the fridge would cool after powering down and defrosting. The fridge cooled…so now I went to the temp controls to check to see if they were functioning…the fridge controls function correctly. However the freezer does not, so I am assuming the problem is my freezer control. It continues to run even at it’s lowest setting. Do you know if I can replace that myself or do I need to call someone to fix it? I took apart the apparatus where the control nobs are and can’t really tell if I can fix it or not. Advice?![]()
